My name is Efthymios Bairaktaris. I'm a 3rd year VFX student at Escape Studios. I'm very passionate about everything related to VFX pipelines. I enjoy creating tools and helping others, thus I would like to start my journey as a Pipeline Technical Director.

What hobbies do you have?
Sailing and Crossfit.
What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?
I am a quick learner and I pay attention to details. I work hard but sometimes I tend to be a perfectionist.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Promoted to a Mid-Pipeline TD position.
Which movie inspired you the most to choose this career path and why?
Avatar' played a pivotal role for me. When I got out of the cinema, I knew that this is what I wanted to do in my life: Work in the VFX industry.
Describe your favourite VFX sequence.
One of my favourite VFX sequences is the city bending from 'Inception'. Even after 12 years, it still looks great!
What was your crowning moment of your time at Escape?
Bringing to life 'Ambush' was the most challenging and fun project I worked on. To make sure we have the plates we needed and to avoid doing extra work, we had to build a practical version of the speeder which we used as reference when filming.
