I am a highly motivated individual who constantly wants to push themselves out of their comfort zone. I really enjoy working as a team but can also work individually. I’ve always had a passion for visual effects from a young age and admired how artists brought film to life. Prior to Escape Studios, I edited video game footage for clients which involved me managing the sound, music mix, colour correction and visual effects. Attending Escape Studios has allowed me to discover what area within the industry that I’d like to specialise in, preferably a compositing career in film.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB TO START YOUR CAREER WITH?
My dream first job on my way to becoming a compositor would be a roto/prep artist within a highly respected studio. I want to be able to perfect my craft and work my way up the ladder within the industry to become a VFX supervisor at some point.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?
I would say that my main hobby is photography. I’ve always been taking photos from a young age up until now. However, I do have a big commitment to my ‘second home’ (the gym), I spend a lot of my time there. I also like to game and cook too!
WHAT THREE THINGS WOULD YOU TAKE TO A DESERT ISLAND? AND WHY?
The three things I’d take to a desert island would be a satellite phone, a box of matches and my magic lamp, with the hopes that a genie will appear and grant me unlimited wishes.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS TIME?
In 5 years time, I hope to be in a compositor role within a respected studio. I will give my all in order to make this goal a reality.
DESCRIBE A CHALLENGE THAT YOU HAD TO OVERCOME IN YOUR GROUP PROJECTS.
One of the shots had been rendered out with a custom made camera (one that wasn’t 100% accurate to the plate it was shot on). As we didn’t have enough time to render with the correct camera, I spent hours manually keyframing the cg in Nuke to fix it.
DESCRIBE YOUR FAVORITE VFX SEQUENCE.
I admire the work Framestore has done on the illusion battle in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Spider-Man and Mysterio breaking in and out of a world of Peter’s worst fears in psychedelic environments. I had not seen anything as mind bending as this since Doctor Strange.
WHY DO YOU DESERVE A GREATER SHARE OF SPACE IN THE YEAR BOOK?
I don't believe I deserve a greater share of space in the year book more than anyone else. I think that everyone should take up the same amount. I believe in equality! :)
