LUCY HARRIS

I am an artist and animator who constantly strives to improve and develop both artistic and
technical abilities in the ever-growing world of VFX. I have nothing
but high hopes and standards when creating engaging character performances, whilst also capturing the
essence of believable creature animation, with a goal to one day be a part of the incredible community I look up to.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB TO START YOUR CAREER WITH?

Working amongst a group of talented artists as a Junior Animator, kickstarting my career within the industry, and learning from those around me.

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY?

Drinking coffee until ridiculously late whilst drawing, as art is my passion much like animation. It drives me as much as my brain drives my creativity.

IF YOU WERE AN ANIMAL, WHICH ONE WOULD YOU BE? AND WHY?

A cat because I am adventurous and very quirky, not forgetting to mention my abnormal reflexes when scared.

WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES?

My perfectionism is both my strength and my kryptonite, as I can imagine it is with plenty of other artists. One day I will be rid of this outlook that it is a weakness, I am determined.

DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM JOB

Without any second thought, an animator. No doubt about it. To be able to do what I love for a living, God what a dream that would be. And with enough work and time, a senior creature animator.

WHICH ANIMATION MOVIE INSPIRED YOU THE MOST TO CHOOSE THIS CAREER PATH?

Avatar. All the way. I dreamt of living in Pandora as a kid, and being a part of an industry that inspires children like it did me. Who wouldn't pursue that dream?

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Lord of The Rings, as I am Golem looking for my precious, that and the metaphorical journey of battling throughout the way to reach the goal fought for in the beginning.

WHY DO YOU DESERVE A GREATER SHARE OF SPACE IN THE YEARBOOK?

Despite being a literal gremlin at times, I felt as if I was there for those who needed me, providing hugs and being the clown when needed. Though I don't expect to receive more space than others for sharing those memories with those great people ^^.
