My name is Ben Elliott and I have just graduated from Escape Studios after studying 3D VFX. I’ve always been passionate about art so it felt like a natural progression to move into 3D VFX. I would like to pursue a career in 3D modelling as it is the aspect of VFX that resonated best with me.

What hobbies do you have?
Rock climbing, reading, swimming.
What three things would you take to a desert island and why?
My favourite book because I love reading, a knife because it would be useful and a fishing pole to get food.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I hope to be well instated into the VFX industry with a wide network connection.
What job position would excite you the most to start your career with?
I really want to go into 3D Modeling as that has always been the aspect of VFX that has interested me most as it is the most artistic.
Would you rather be a wizard, jedi or superhero and why?
A wizard as they have the widest range of abilities.
Describe your favourite VFX sequence.
In the 'Harry Potter' movies I really enjoy the final fight between Voldemort and Dumbledore in 'The Order of the Phoenix'.
What was your crowning moment of your time at Escape?
In the 3D specialism project, when I was allowed to do whatever I wanted on zBrush, it was really satisfying to see the progress I had made and really made me appreciate how my abilities had grown over the course of my course at Escape.
