I am an aspiring Cinematic Artist with a thriving desire for filmmaking, visual storytelling and with a keen interest in real-time technologies. Since I was a child, I have always loved using Lego for telling my stories based on my favorite movies such as 'Jurassic Park', 'Terminator' and 'Aliens'. Thanks to CGI, I found my first real way to see my ideas really "come to life". Since then I have carried out my increasingly complex projects with patience, tenacity and passion. My dream is getting a job where I can make stunning cinematic sequences with Unreal Engine 4.

Describe yourself in 5 words.

Quiet, Polite, Precise, Organized, Persistent.

What makes you unique?

I have a motivations list that pushes me forward. I have been chasing this career path, without results, for a while. Honestly, I almost gave up during the journey and tried other career choices but eventually I would feel my persistent desire to do something that give me that "spark".

What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?

My strength is my technical mindset and persistency for problem-solving. I like to research for solutions and get satisfaction from fixing problems. However this can also be a double-edged blade since I could potentially lose track of time. I am learning when to ask for help.

Tell us an achievement you're proud of.

I'm very proud I was offered a job by big film production companies such as The Third Floor and MPC.

Which animated movie inspired you the most to choose this career path?

For me it wasn’t a movie or a cartoon that inspired me but rather a series of commercial videos for a toy line. What brought me into this career path was when the Lego company released a heavily cinematic CG commercial video for one of their toy lines called Bionicle.

If your life was a movie what would it be?

Pixar's "Soul". Just like the protagonist in that movie, I too have being stubbornly chasing the dream of having my "spark" as a life purpose, in my case it's creating stories in CG. Now I realize that I haven't enjoyed my life for the last 10 freaking years...

What was your crowning moment of your time at Escape?

Winning a full-tuition fee scholarship which covers the whole course length of my Bachelor and Masters at Escape Studios. Awarded by the Head of Animation department at Cinesite, Eamonn Butler.
