Describe yourself in 5 words.

Charismatic, Trustworthy, Reliable, Curious and Dedicated.

What are your hobbies and interests?

My hobbies are in music videos production, visualisation art, playing basketball in an amateur league and going out to social events.

What makes you unique?

By studying 5 years of VFX and 2 years of media, my overall understanding of media in general is quite wide. I have learned anything from photography and film to games and magazines. By having the opportunity to also study in Portugal, I learned the difference in media in different cultures.

What job position would excite you the most to start your career with?

I would love to have the opportunity to start in the areas that I am interested (layout, comp and matchmove) or have the opportunity to work in virtual production and Cinematics as I enjoy working in Unreal Engine 4.

Tell us an achievement you're proud of.

I am proud of getting a colleague to collaborate with me on two projects and produce a VR music video and a CG music video in my early stages.

Which movie inspired you the most to choose this career path?

The Marvel franchise definitely inspired me to choose this path. From the original Hulk to Doctor Strange and even Thor. I just loved all those Superhero films and that's what brought me here.

Describe your favorite VFX sequence.

It is hard to just choose one, however, I absolutely love the "open your mind" scene of Doctor Strange where he is first exposed to the powers. The sequence shows a range of different abstract CG elements, all working together, and creating an explosion of art.

What was your crowning moment of your time at Escape?

It was definitely the directing of the last project. Until now, I had been quiet, under the radar, as I was focusing a bit too much on myself, and getting good results, but I was missing the leadership skills. It was also in the last year that I learned the most skills as I was able to explore more.
