Hi! I'm Flynn Smith, a London born and bred boy, who is an aspiring Animator. I am a man of simple things. A good book and food are some of my passions along with gaming and some sports and lets not forget animation. As I am completing an animation course, I would love to become an Animator in a company but I am also open to completing an internship, or freelance work, if it is available.

What are your hobbies and interests?

Let's start with reading and gaming. I also do some sports such as rock climbing and high board diving and, finally, I also like cooking but prefer eating it more.

If you were an animal, which one would you be? and why?

The animal I want to be is an albatross because I like the idea that I can wander the world freely. As well as their loyalty to one another and their partner I also love the sea. I also like the idea of being lucky.

What job position would excite you the most to start your career with?

The position that makes me the most excited when I start my career would be an Animator in a studio, maybe beginning with an internship.

Tell us an achievement you're proud of.

My proudest achievement is overcoming my dyslexia which, in the process, created my love for reading and boosted my confidence in reading in front of others.

Describe your favorite animated sequence.

My favourite animated scene is in 'How to Train your Dragon' where Hiccup and Toothless have their first flight. It's the combination of the music that gives it this epic feel and the cinematography that empathises the speed and at the end you can feel their joy.

If your life was a movie what would it be?

If my life was a movie, it would be 'Forrest Gump' because of how the smallness details can change yours, and others' lives for the better.

What was your crowning moment of your time at Escape?

I believe my crowning achievement in Escape is just getting through 2020 and completing all the work. This includes having to do all the work from home which, for me personally, was really hard especially when mixing in some personal stuff that happened last year. But, to be honest, I think last year has been tough for everyone but it still doesn't discount it as an achievement. A quick honourable mention to this list is learning Maya, in general, because it's one hell of a complicated software.
