Safa Alkassab

I am a 2D Visual Effect Artist with a wide knowledge of the VFX pipeline. I am passionate about photography and have always seen photography as a mean to express and speak to people in a way that words can’t. My love and interest with photography was one of the reasons that drove me to pursue VFX. After graduating I will be seeking a job as Roto/Prep/Junior Compositor Artist.

If you were an animal, which one would you be and why?

Elephants have many great traits. The most I admire is their strong memory as it helps them to remember places, herds and other elements for survival. As for me, I believe we live in a world full of interesting things to learn. Therefore, it would be amazing to have such a strong memory to help me learn and expand my knowledge from everything that surrounds us.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I hope to have built the skills, knowledge and experience to get to a Compositor position.

What job position would excite you the most to start your career with?

As an aspiring VFX Artist, I'm excited to start my career as Roto/Prep or Junior Compositor which will give me the opportunity to learn and grow my skills to get to the Compositor position in the future.

What was your crowning moment of your time at Escape?

I think each moment I spent throughout these past three years was a crowning moment for me. I see how much I have grown and developed my skills. However, if I have to specify one I would say working on 'Post-Mortem'. It has been an amazing experience to work on this project, not only I have learned a lot during this project but I also got the chance to work with such creative and great people.
