I am a 3D Animator with a curiosity for behaviour and movement. As an Animator it's fascinating how much personality you can convey to the audience through body language or a single gesture. Whenever I have some spare time I like to go around and sketch looking for interesting characters to take into my work. I enjoy computer animation as it requires a combination of both artistic and more technical skills, pushing me to go further in both. With every shot I work on I realise there is a vast amount to learn about and I can't wait to continue growing alongside the talented creatives in the film and game industries.

Describe yourself in 5 words.

Energetic, Curious, Positive, Dexterous and Adaptable.

What hobbies do you have?

I love trying out new things and I don't like saying "no" which led me to into rock climbing earlier this year. I am also interested in picking up some Python over the summer to challenge myself with a completely new skill.

What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?

A prevailant trait of mine is that I am very observant which can lead me to sometimes be distracted, but I know how to handle myself, so I listen to something on my headphones to make it easier to concentrate on work. However, this trait also allows me to truly focus on my art and bring it to another level. By constantly analysing other art I see on a daily basis

What job position would excite you the most to start your career with?

I would love to play around with expressive body mechanics so for my first job it would be a blast to work as a Junior Gameplay Animator for games or give quirky personalities to background characters in film as a Junior Character Animator.

Which animated movie inspired you the most to choose this career path and why?

I have a concoction of favourite movies, but the first CGI one that made an impact on me was the first 'How to Train Your Dragon' movie. The fun expressive animation and the relationships between the characters really made this one stick with me. I remember wanting to be a part of this world and the closest thing I can get to it is to work on it! I may not ever get a dragon but my dog would do just fine. : )

Describe your favourite animated sequence.

A girl with gigantic mechanic gauntlets walks into a bar and stares her opponent down from across the venue - an older woman with a mechanical arm. They both charge at each other and start exchanging punches ravaging the place in the process. Our protagonists seems to be loosing the fight as she's thrown to the ground and spits out a tooth when a vision of her father figure appears to encourage her to get back and fight for the people she loves!

It's a very Impactful sequence filled to the brim with inspiring animation and interesting character moments! I do love watching it every now and again since it came out for inspiration.
