When it comes to games, I am most fond of open world games that have a large world feel to them. I am really looking forward to seeing where VFX can take me in this industry and would like to work with a team that focuses on the smaller details of game development. I chose VFX because I love the idea of being able to bring life to a game.

GET TO KNOW EDWARD
Describe yourself in 5 words.
Loyal, patient, driven, empathetic and resilient.
What hobbies do you have?
Drawing/painting, playing guitar, continuing to improve my craft.
What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?
My biggest strength is patience. On the otherhand, I tend to overcomplicate my work.
What job position would excite you the most to start your career with?
VFX Artist
Would you rather be a wizard, jedi or superhero and why?
I would be a Jedi, first off Star Wars has always been one of my favourite franchises growing up so I have to, but also a lot of Jedi philosophy is about inner peace and being one with yourself which I find important. Plus being able to pick things up with my mind is a pretty cool ability.
Which game inspired you the most to choose this career path and why/how?
Halo' was a massive part of my childhood, it was the first game I played that really felt special to me and its still a franchise I constantly return to. It was finding the developer commentaries for 'Halo CE' and 'Halo 2' one day that made me first realise that game development was even really a career and that it seemed so exciting and fun.
What was your crowning moment of your time at Escape?
Getting a 95 on my third year specialism was a proud moment for me, I put a lot of work into the project and it felt good to know the work I had been putting in for the last few years was progressing and getting better and that it was being recognised by my Tutors.
