WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB TO START YOUR CAREER WITH?

My dream job to start my career with would be Junior LookDev & Lighting TD or Junior Generalist TD at a studio working on blockbuster films.

DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN FIVE WORDS OR LESS.

Ambitious, Team-player, Leader, Honest, Dependable.

WHAT MAKES YOU UNIQUE?

I have great leadership skills. I have supervised three commercial projects totalling over £20k in VFX budget.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS?

I see myself as a Senior/Lead LookDev & Lighting TD at a large company working on delivering the most photoreal assets and shots possible and solving any challenges that come along the way no matter the difficulty.

TELL US AN ACHIEVMENT YOU'RE PROUD OF.

I was the VFX supervisor and editor for the ‘Heir – Soundtrack’ music video by Sony Music. I lead a team of 13 digital artists in 3 different countries to deliver 53 shots in 5 weeks.

WHICH MOVIE INSPIRED YOU THE MOST TO CHOOSE THIS

CAREER PATH?

Transformers (2007) was one of the only films I remember ever being on the edge of my seat for – not because of the story, but because of the incredible blend of VFX and reality. I had the honor of working with Tim Coleman on my latest project. Tim was the character TD for Optimus Prime in Transformers.

DESCRIBE YOUR FAVORITE VFX SEQUENCE.

The first time we see all the Autobots in the first Transformers film. The transformation sequence for Optimus and the rest stuck with me since the very first time I saw it. Each piece moving into position, collisions hidden with smart techniques, the surfacing, the lighting, the comp, were all very impressive. The VFX still hold up today and I think that is a testament to how well they were executed.

WHY DO YOU DESERVE A GREATER SHARE OF SPACE IN THE YEAR BOOK?

The first time I opened Maya was January of 2018. I never even imagined myself supervising three commercial projects, working with industry professionals such as Tim Coleman, learning industry standard software outside of university such as Clarisse, Katana, and RenderMan. Today, I am proud to be able to say that I have achieved all I set out to achieve during university and even achieved things I did not plan for.
